Directorates

The functions and duties of the Directorate:

  • Organizing the procedures pertaining the Ministry’s mails and documents management, and documentation in terms of (receiving, in-mail registration, out-mail registration, classification, indexing, safe-keeping, distribution, assets insurance, …, etc.)

  • Providing communication services and supporting administrative services to all directorates.

  • Ensuring the provision of the Ministry’s needed supplies, conducting the paper and electronic inventory documentation, and applying the inventory system, which consists of: forming the warehouses supervision committees, managing inventory, maintaining the inventory, etc.)

  • Acquiring needed lands for the Ministry through owning, allocating, delegating, and/or accepting donations and following up the related procedures with the related parties.

  • Maintaining the buildings, and coordinating with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in preparing building’s construction studies and designs.

  • Following up the processes related to the Ministry’s vehicles, such as ownership transfer, registration, insurance, periodical inspection, general maintenance, and spare parts procurement by using paper and electronic systems; the provision of the Ministry’s needed transportation means; also, auditing vehicles fuel expenditures of the Ministry and its Administrative Centers.

  • Preparing the list of vacant jobs (Table of Formed Posts); following up the vacancies and staff appointments, promotions, relocation, retirement, delegation, secondment, authorization and annual raise, and developing employment plan based on the directorates’ needs.

  • Developing comprehensive training plans, including staff career path through training from his/her appointment to the end of his/her employment.

  • Assessing training needs, conducting training programs, and evaluating the programs according to the preset objectives and their effects on the performance level.

  • Preparing periodical studies that are required to improve the services provided by the Ministry, defining the criteria for the services provided and publishing these criteria, and adopting suitable methods for performance improvement.

  • Any additional related functions.
